Adrian Fenty-Laurene Powell-split

Then-Washington D.C. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty attends the Bloomberg/Vanity Fair party following the 2010 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner; Laurene Powell Jobs attends The New York Times 2014 Schools For Tomorrow conference on September 8, 2014.

Former Washington D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty (pictured left) and Steve Jobs’ billionairess widow Laurene Powell (pictured right) were spotted sunning and funning together this weekend in the Caribbean, the Daily Mail reports. Though the two have reportedly been dating since the summer of 2013, these are the first photos of their simmering romance released. In fact, they are quite hot, especially a shirtless Fenty, the one-term mayor of the District from 2007 through 2011.

The Mail reports:

The pair looked at ease as they laughed together aboard a luxury yacht from the Cayman Islands, cooled off in their swimsuits and got close on the sun loungers, before sharing a meal with friends.

The news comes more than three years after the Apple co-founder passed away, leaving Powell a $10 billion estate. Jobs and Powell were married for 20 years. Fenty and his ex-wife, Michelle Cross Fenty, an attorney, were married for 15 years.

Fenty, 44, reportedly met the 51-year-old widow at a Houston education conference in 2011.

The pairing may not be as unlikely as it appears. Besides both being passionate advocates for educational reform, Fenty recently garnered an advisory position with Andreessen Horowitz, one of Silicon Valley’s hottest venture capital firms, the Washington Post reports.

Fenty was separated from his wife of 15 years, Michelle, in January 2013. According to The Washington Post, there is no indication that his relationship with Powell had anything to do with his marriage’s demise.

Both Fenty and Powell have three children each.
