Have football touchdown celebrations gone too far? If you watched the Bills-Jets game, yesterday, you might agree. When Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown pass to Stevie Johnson, Johnson celebrated by pretending he was Plaxico Burress, shooting himself in the thigh.
Burress served twenty months in prison, in 2008, for unlawfully carrying a handgun into a nightclub.
After Johnson’s celebration, the Bills were penalized, and had to kick off from their own 20 yard line. The Jets won the game 28-24.
