Superstar comedian and actress Sommore is notorious for giving her all onstage and onscreen in true lady-like form. This week, however, she briefly took us behind the scenes of of her biggest claims to fame – the Royal Comedy Tour, which is set to pass through Cincinnati next week on October 7th at Music Hall.
If you know anything about the tour, it’s more than just a night of amateur comedy supported by one of mainstream entertainment’s leading ladies. In fact, it’s the complete opposite being that it’s a celebration of the decades of humor, laughter and stage presence each one of the legendary performers possesses.
With Sommore at the forefront, the Royal Comedy tour showcases Cincinnati’s own Gary Owen, famed TV actor/comedian Mark Curry, and of course, Damon Williams. The show is sure to be one side-splitting experience, but don’t take our word for it. In fact, we’ll let Sommore do the talking just as she did this afternoon on The Lincoln Ware Show.
Just in case you missed it, listen below to find out what Sommore described as the “art of comedy” and how she really feels about being called an actress before being called a comedian. You’ll also get her exclusive set of tips for comedians on the verge of local fame and notoriety. Think you have what it takes to be a star? Prove it by taking the first steps and buy your ticket for the show early.
